William Hoogland
Training Specialist

In memoriam

Sergeant
Dave Krupka

Bill specializes in workplace violence prevention and has taught his innovative program to community policing officers throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. Sergeant Hoogland's custom written program is based on years of experience as an urban police officer and develops a partnership between police and corporations. The program also utilizes the proven techniques of environmental design to harden businesses without making the workplace appear as a fortress in the community. Northeast Multi-Regional Training has featured his unique program for police officers over the past two years. A very dynamic presenter, Bill complements his PowerPoint presentation with video of real workplace violence incidents, one of the best learning examples available.

Dave was the first associate and unfortunately passed in January of 2010.  Dave wrote a policy and procedure for conducting police compliance enforcement of liquor and tobacco age restrictions laws that was held up as a national model.  Dave taught the "Supervising Liquor and Tobacco Enforcement" class for five years in Illinois and as a guest lecturer at the Massachusetts State Police Academy.  He also conducted workshops at national conferences in Washington D.C., Boston, and New Orleans.  His expertise, friendly teaching style, and sense of humor will be missed by the hundreds of people who attended his training classes over the years.
